这些"关系"不一般 relative, relation和relationship这三个单词都由relate(有关联，把…联系起来)衍生而来，应该怎样区分捏？ relative作名词时表示“家人，亲属，亲戚”。 例：We will visit our relatives on holidays.假期里，我们要拜访亲戚。 作形容词时表示“相对的”，如relative peace(相对平静)。 relation指“(公司、国家、个人或团体之间的正式)关系”，此时多用复数relations，以及“(事物之间的)联系”。 例：Canada and Italy established diplomatic relations in 1970.加拿大和意大利于1970年建立外交关系。 Relations between workers and managements have improved recently.最近员工和管理层的关系有所改善。 The result has no relation to that.结果跟那无关。 它还可表示“家人，亲戚”，与relative含义相同。 例：They invited all their relations to take part in the wedding.他们邀请了所有的亲戚参加婚礼。 relationship意为“关系”时其后常用介词between或with，相当于relation，但用法不如relation正式。此外，它还可用作可数名词表示“恋爱关系”，用作不可数名词表示“亲属关系”。例：There is a close relationship between poor housing and health problems.恶劣的住房条件和健康问题之间有紧密的联系。 What kind of relationship does she have with him?她和他的关系怎么样？
