The new consulting rooms were funded with Pounds 200,000 from the Friends of Lydney Hospital and press officer Marion Davies said they wanted to show the public where Stamping Ring silversmith blanks the money had gone.

She said: "It is the first opportunity that we have had to show off the new building to the public and let them see how the money they have donated has been spent."

The fete also boasts a wealth of entertainment including the Pillowell Silver Band, Lydney State Circus and the Boogie Nights Dance Company.

There will also be a wide range of games, activities and stalls selling plants, produce and cakes.

The event takes place at Lydney Hospital. It starts at 2pm and entry is free. The grand draw will be held at 4pm.
